Description

Pontoon boats almost always have two pontoons that are mounted from bow to stern. These pontoons are the sole way of keeping the boat afloat. The bottom of these boats is usually completely flat with the pontoons on each side.

Although larger pontoon boats do exist, they typically are smaller craft meant only for a few passengers. If looking solely for value in terms of the capacity of the boat, pontoon boats are the best. Insurance breaks are also common for pontoon boats as they tend to be slower than most other types of boats.
