Ferries

Description

Ferries are used for the transport of both people and vehicles. In some areas where there are cities or towns located on islands without a bridge to them, ferries play a major role in moving people to and from the island. Most commercial ferries are moderate sized ships while hovercraft are used in other areas. Ferries also come in much smaller sizes when they are used to transport people over short distances.

A ferry slip is used to dock the ferry at its destination. The ferry slip assists with the loading or unloading of the vehicles and passengers.
